Maintenance-free Polywood Furniture
It's not cedar. It's not wood. It's not a composite material. It's 100% high density polyethylene (HDPE). It's made from recycled milk jugs. The designs are identical to our cedar Adirondack chairs, with the same sculpted seat and curved back.
This lumber won't fade, crack, rot or splinter. It will never require painting or staining. It can be left outside 365 days a year -- anywhere. It really is maintenance free.

Wouldn't it be nice to relax -- feet up, a cool drink in one hand -- bathed in warm sunshine? Well, stop dreaming and start relaxing. Our Adirondack Chair -- available in four sizes -- features a sculpted seat and a curved back for maximum comfort! It is made entirely out of one-inch thick Western Red Cedar. See our complete lineup.
The parts are held firmly in place with 1 3/4" stainless steel screws and premium elasticized polyurethane adhesive to keep the chair rigid, even when put through -40 to 120 degree temperatures (that's Minnesotan for normal swings of the mercury).

Personalize your chair
You can have your name -- or your significant other's name, your business name or anything you want -- professionally carved into your chairs.
I've got this little toy. Well, it's not really a toy. It's a CarveWright, a mini-CNC machine -- and it's a far cry from the jackknife used to crudely carve a sweetheart message in the backyard tree.
I can carve a name (using any type font that's on my computer) on the front of any chair, glider, rocker, bench or love seat in the product line -- including the Adirondack Junior Chair. See more photos.
The cost? Only $25 per chair. |

Western Red Cedar is light, the resin is poisonous to insects and it features an extremely high thermal factor. Western Red Cedar has 80% of the tensile strength of Oak, and is pound-for-pound stronger than steel!
Western Red Cedar is also an appearance-grade wood. When properly finished -- we've used Sikkens Cetol and Behr's with excellent success -- the grains stand out, providing high aesthetic appeal and long-lasting durability -- even under severe conditions.
It is not uncommon for a properly finished Adirondack Chair to last 100 years. There are many in existence to prove it. Naturally, these furniture pieces often become family heirlooms, and are handed down generation after generation, becoming sought after prizes for collectors. |
